When I got home from my recent business trip (1 week in Japan) and had the
energy to look at the fish in detail I noticed that Hoshi has a couple of
visible blood vessels in his caudal fin.
Hoshi is a sarasa comet, about 5" long, all white except for an orange spot
on his forehead. His activity and appetite seem to be good. I tested the
water: pH 8, Ammonia 0 ppm, Nitrite 0 ppm, Nitrate 20 ppm.
Normal or cause for concern?
