Get a pair of bluegill (one of the hybrid types so they have lots of
unique color to them) and plant it heavily with a section open on one
end..........a few rocks and of course a gravel substrate........and
you would be surprised how nice a tank of native fish can really
be.............They do grow larger but two or three can do
exceptionally well in a 55 gal tank and if you watch what and how much
you feed they do not make for headaches with water parameters and
changes and filter cleaning. They eat most any food fed tothem, and if
the time ever comes and you need to get rid of them, its not a problem
to put em in a farm pond.........Check around you would be surprised
what native fishes do well if not over populated ina tank..my favorite
native is still the warmouth and I am sure you have them in Tenn as
well...just get a fisherman to get you one or two.awesome neat

That's an idea but I don't know anyone who fishes. I was thinking small
tropical fish like in the other 55g. With being busy with the holidays I'm
in no hurry. :-) We have a new PetsMart opening soon. I may wait and see
what they have.
