The red is kind-of a coraline algae, but not as desirable. Most people
don't get excessive amounts of it, but some people do. What kind of
water are you using?

i bought 2 peppie shrimps about 2 weeks
ago, they have finally adjusted and are
munching aiptasias liek crazy. they
cleaned about 20 off one rock, 20 off
another rock, and a few off anoter, and
have the population cut to about 1/4th of
what it was in about a weeks feeding. i
totally reduced the amount i was feeding
my fish, and was careful to only put
enough food in there so the fish could
grab theirs but not too much that would
find its way to either the shrimp or the
aip's. also i have this tri-colored
damsel looking thing that will keep the
shrimp at bay, so the shrimp just hide
until night, so i think the damsel is
actually helping by keeping the shrimp
hidden during day, which is causing them
to go on overtime at night.
the t-bird works excelently, i have the
filters setup properly, and no more BS, hehe.
thanks guys for the news server info.
Yea it looks like you have things under control with three mother
****ing posts to say the same exact thing ****ing MORON . Are you
inflicted with MS or what! Your a ****ing liar anyhow as peps do not
eat aip that ****ing fast asshole, and there is no way you can
effectively filter out 90% of this mess using motzarella or
thunderbird..............so go get a ****ing clue.hyour miss led
teehee
AWesome...filter caught that post originally. Yay.
Question...I'm still seeing a decent amount of green hair algae and
some red splotches that look almost like drops of red paint on the
sides of the tank. The red splotches don't scrub away with a sponge
either...suggestions?
Wayne,
Its R/O, D/I water, with red sea salt added to it.
