If I remove the worst plants and put them in the small tank I can use PP

H2O2 and KMnO4 are both strong oxidizers.

What are they? *Sorry, I'm not a chemist.

Just Hydrogen Peroxide its just H2O2, and KMnO4 is just Potassium
Permanganate...........Why not just move fish to anopther tank for a
few hours, PP the entire tank, and that way you'll get it all, wait
until oxidation period is over (6-8 hours) or until water turns form a
pink to a cofee brown............and then hit it with hydrogenperoxide
to turn it clear again.........place media in there forma tank to kick
start it off quicker, add aeration and lots of
flow................wipe off brown scum line from around tanks water
line.and reintroduce the fish into a tank of freshly oxidized water
free of algae and any possible other common pathogens..............No
need to remove palnts and replant, although it may be easier to do
that than catch some fish ;-), but by dosiing the entire tank your
gonna get whats in the gravel and other small areas as well. I Think
if I had PP back when I had black algae I would have used it and dosed
the entire tank less the fish.................
