Kalkwasser
Just my "two cents" and someone please correct me if I'm wrong: but in
addition to helping to keep phosphates down and coralline to grow, it also
provides the extra available calcium for any corals (SPS's, LPS's, etc,) and
any inverts (snails, etc.) that may need it. I started to use it when I set
up my first tank almost three years ago, then stopped dosing about a year
ago (for three months), then started again because certain things (snails,
tube worms, etc) seemed to stop growing (I guess that could have just been a
normal cycle for some). But I did notice that when I started again,
everything seemed to grow better shortly after.

I have Coralline and its doing fine, I don't have any issues with
phosphates or algae. Is there another benefit to using it?
I like to think that it prevents cavities as I setup the siphon before
bedtime. (Yes, I'm kidding.)
