Default Pics of Big Habeeb's tank

You may not need as much. The 45 has a canister filter. I have the DSB
and lr to counter act the nitrates. Also, there are about 6 creatures in
that tank that like to poop it up.

The biocube is pretty stable. I have a skimmer and more lr in the false
back.

They look good cause I check the water every 24 hours.

If I had yours I'd put another 150 lbs of lr in..Here, that's about $800
with tax and it is getting hard to find.

Heh, dont think I'll be adding that much...though the LFS near me actually
gets it in plentiful amounts. I basically go there every time he is
expecting a shipment and will just be hand picking the little chunks ro
fill out my tank. I don't need it for the filtration as much at this
point, but more for aquascaping purposes...filling in the gaps, making
more places to put corals etc...and of course the extra filtration can't
hurt either

I love woot.com and techbargains.com

I really don't know why the lfs sold us this canister. Later they called it
a nitrate factory.

If I could I'd do one LR all the way to the top. No sand base just a bit of
heavy gravel. Then I'd have the biocube just for the coral. That thing will
grow almost anything.

Yours needs at least 75 more lbs. If not for nitrates, just for the
aesthetics. JMO That's nice looking LR you have now. The stuff I got now
looks piece meal because it is. The stuff on the bottom is pretty much
covered in purple algae. The other stuff is tail end left-overs.

OTOH:

I really like those shrimp. I've got a red one and he's a character. Really
fun to watch eat.

Last night is was looking in the biocube and there were these little gray
things that looked like flea/rats scurrying around on the gravel. As soon as
the light came on they ran off. Every time I look in those tanks I see
something different.
