After reading this thread, I was in Walmart here last night and looked
to see what they had as far as wafers. They had Wardley brand and
Hikari brand algea wafers. Doesn't mean they carry them in TN stores
but they typically carry the same things nation wide.
It was the only Hikari product I saw though.
===============================
I've yet to see Hikari in Wal*Mart but I'll check next week when I'm
food shopping there. I buy the Shrimp pellets and Tubifex worms there
since they have the lowest prices - that's about it.
The only reason I paid attention to it is because of this thread. I went
to the pet section just to see if I could find Hikari products. I have a
bag of the Hikari Algae Wafers but it is because someone gave them to me
when I took her plecostamus off her hands. As for eating it, I don't see
a lot of difference in the way my algae eaters eat the Hikari's versus
the Wardley's brand.

But that crappy Wardley brand will foul your water and not give proper
nutrition..........as every dumbass knows.............TYNK said
so......and she knows everything.
If you have a "very" knowledgeable LFS that your in tight with, you
might be able to get them to order yu the large "Store" package that
is not marketed for retail trade. Its a large container with a shaker
spout which makes feeding an act like shaking out some salt or pepper
on food...............and its pretty hard to shake too much out with
the container.................plus it costs a great deal less to buy
than the retail containers. So if you drop a lot of $$$$$ at the LFS
see if they will cut you some slack on that item and order it for you.
