I have a hair algae that nothing will eat all over my tank (even on
snails). Sally lightfoot, emerald crab, blue legs, scarlets, astrea, red
legs, yellow tang and sailfin blennie won't touch this crap. I have to
scrub with tooth brush to remove but it will grow back. I use phosphate
remover but not all the time. I change 4 (5-6) gal buckets of water a
month. Have wetdry using sock. Have Berlin skimmer too. 75 g tank up and
running since nov. 07. My live rock is old but was clean when I just
started this back up after a house remodel. rock was in barrel for 8
months.
I was thinking about placing LR in a grey trashcan with the cover on it
for a good month with a pump to recirculate the water to kill it.
4" of brand new sand was used along with 22lbs of GARF GRUNGE live sand
activator.
Kent Marine RO unit is used to make water. Nitrites are 0, Nitrate is
appears to be under 10. Phosphate appears to be 1 or 1.5.
Aquarium Systems test kits are used
ANY IDEAS?? Tanks.
