Simple - if you are getting a used tank hold out for an oceanic - they are
the thickest glass in the biz "off the shelf". reseal any used tank you buy
though - regardless of how good it looks.
All Glass makes good tanks too but nowhere near the quality of Oceanic.
Avoid acrylic at all costs.
Oceanic has a chart on their site giving thickness of glass along with
all other dimensions of their tanks. They are the Rolls Royce of "off the
shelf" tanks.

I'm thinking of getting back into the hobby after a 20 year absence Last
tank I had was a store bought 55g size, rectangular, with bowed corners.
It developed, after 2-3 years, about a 1" bow across the front. Scared the
heck out of me. It was a fish only tank.
This time I want a 90-110g tank, rectangular, acrylic with the bowed
corners. How thick should the tank be so that it stays flat after years of
use?
I would like to buy it used. What's the going price/gal for a used tank?
And the stand? and the hood?
Can anyone recommend a web site so I can get a look at it?
