I match mine from the tap by adding just enough hot water to the cold to
get the right temp. But like you, in the summer my cold water is the
same temp as my tanks.

Don't know about you, but it is easy to temperature match new water in
the summer in Iowa. =A0 How is at about same temp as I keep the tropical
tanks. =A0 But now that cold weather has set in, the house can be 10-12
Fahrenheit degrees colder than those tanks. (Fortunately Goldfish tank
is always room temperature.)
