Default how do you temperature match during winter months

Dennis Fox wrote in :

Hi all,

Don't know about you, but it is easy to temperature match new water in
the summer in Iowa. How is at about same temp as I keep the tropical
tanks. But now that cold weather has set in, the house can be 10-12
Fahrenheit degrees colder than those tanks. (Fortunately Goldfish tank
is always room temperature.)

What kinds of methods do folk use to temperature match replacement water?

Thanks,
Dennis

1) Buy 1, digital thermometer for $9.95

2) Buy 1, 5 gal plastic container
(It will be good for up to 20gal tank changes)

3) Using the thermometer, check the current tank water tempurature.

4) Add your favorite detoxifier to the plastic container.
I use 1/2 teaspoon of Bio-Safe per 5 gals.

5) Place a deep glass under the faucet, add thermometer and turn on water.

6) Adjust the water temp to match the tank temp.

7) Using the hand sprayer, fill the container.

8) Remove the desired amount of water from your tank.

9) Using your favorite transfer method (tipping, pump or siphon)fill the
tank with the fresh, detoxified and temperature matched water.

If you do it correctly, the fish LOVE to dance under the water your pouring
in. Even my Clown Loach makes an appearance!
