Many shops sell blood worms that are actually not worms at all but are red
mosquito larvae.

"Bloodworms" = both Mosquito larvae AND Midge fly larvae.

Whereas tubifex worms are actually worms, rather distantly related to
earthworms.

Gee, it's some time since I saw anyone warning against the use of _live_
tubifex. Has the trade in them died out?

By the way, bloodworms (midge larvae) are reported to be highly allergenic
for some people. Probably not a problem with the frozen kind, but think
twice about the freeze-dried if you're not allergy-proof.

Human rights in Cuba: 600 prisoners held 18 months and more,
without charge, without bail, without counsel, facing trial by
secret special tribunals with power to impose the death
penalty. And that's just one place. Guantanamo.
