Hi all!

First, the losses:

1 Yoyo Loach - no long MIA - DEAD.
1 Dwarf Gourami - DEAD
2 Serpae Tetras - DEAD

Probable Loss:

Female Platy

Remaining Fish:

2 Guppies (Male & Female)
1 Baby Guppy (he's our little eye of the tiger - he keeps surviving!)
1 Zebra Daneo
1 Pleco
1 Male Platy
1 Dwarf Gourami

I decided to check the water quality today and determined the
following:

0 PPM, Ammonia
110 PPM Nitrite

So, either the ammonia levels have gone down because the cycling is
taking place, or there are so many dead fish, there isn't enough left
to produce ammonia!

I think it's the cycling though because even the dead fish should have
left ammonia in the water.

From what I've read, the nitrite should drop like a rock in the next
few days.

I did a 20% water change - but it had no effect in the nitrite level.

I guess one positive thing about all this is with the fish losses, I
can better stock my tank the second time round.

Regards,
Neil
