The Garter Snake's black isn't as shiny as the Ribbon snake's, and their yellow
isn't as vibrant as the Ribbon's as well.

Yes, either a Garter or a Ribbon. I have caught a couple
of Ribbon Snakes before. I have seen but never caught a Garter
snake.

The difference is that the stripes in Ribbon Snakes
go all the way to the tip of the tail.
