Just unscrew the motor portion from the body of the filter and rinse it
really well- a light stream will rinse all the powder off without wetting
the motor if you are reasonably careful. Rinse every part of the bag well
but don't detatch it from the housing. You can put a hose to the end of each
piece of tubing and blow that out as well.

Yes- the DE neds to be replaced with each use.
