Default Nitrites won't go down.

My nitrites seemed to be taking a long time also. Then they disappeared
overnight. Went from of the chart to 0 in 24 hours. Add a little salt to
the tank to ease the stress.
Good luck.

Have a 10 gallon tank for about a month. Ammonia spiked and lingered for

2
weeks, then nitrites spiked, ammonia went down 4 days after that. And now
my nitrites continue to be high with no signs of going down. I mean off

the
charts. I've been doing small water changes to ease pressure on the fish
(10%). One of my Platties is getting white spots on her tail (I thought

the
ich was gone), and I'm moving in one more week. If I had known I was

going
to move before I got the tank, I would have waited to set it up.
