Default fantails and veg

Goldfish absolutely love most fruits and vegetables, and its' always a good
idea to feed peas twice a week as it helps prevent swimbladder problems.
Frozen peas are best because they have no additives unlike canned peas. Yes,
you defrost them, I pour a little boiling water over mine, leave for a
minute, then drain, shell and chop into bite sized pieces (depends on the
size of your fish). They usually go down a treat! Mine love cucumber too. I
usually cut a long slice then attach it to a vegetable clip so they can pick
at it. As well as them liking the taste it gives them something to occupy
themsleves with. The same can be done with a slice of orange which mine go
mad for, or a leaf of romaine lettuce snipped with scissors around the edges
to enable them to grab bits. As I said, almost any fruit or veg is ok as
long as you use common sense when preparing it. Soften hard veggies like
potato and peel things with skin or peel. Just a case of experimenting then
to find what your fish like and don't like! Make sure they still get their
regular pellets as a staple food and feed the veggies a couple of times a
week to add variety.
