I'm not sure how well bettas & gouramis mix. I had a male betta in a 55
gal. community tank with some gouramis & other assorted fish. They all
seemed to get along just fine until one day I came home & my poor betta was
in shreds. I'm not sure who the culprit(s) were, but the betta died. I
believe because both gouramis & bettas are anabatoids they do not mix well.
You may want to consider another type of fish.
