I have 3 skunk botia in one tank and although there are
snails present, there are very few compared to the tank with
no botia. I have 2 YoYo loaches in another tank; same
situation. They get enough food (community tanks) that they
don't need to eat all the snails, just keep them in check.
I really don't mind snails that much, just don't want
millions of them! Neither of these fish get that big (3-4"
and slender), which is why I bought them rather than the
clown loaches.

I have both yoyos and Angelicus in different tanks....
They cleaned hundreds out, but seem to have left a dozen or so breeding
stock in each tank except for the tank with MTS, there all the pond snails
vanished...

They prefer the tender young snails (and angel eggs). I haven't seen a
small snail in 6 months.
