Adam, I'm glad you found your answer. The tigertail is a pretty good sand
sifting detrivore. Some people have a problem with them getting into intakes
and overflows. I'm not sure about tigertails, but a lot of cukes can release
toxins when they die. Hope that helps.

OK I think I answered my own question. I've just found a great link (
http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issu...003/invert.htm ) on cucumbers
and
seems to have answered all my questions..
Thank you again.

Ah ha..
That's it.. Thank you. I think the greenish look is due to the tank
glass
on
that side of the tank. I have 'Googled' Tigertail Cucumber and found
other
pictures of it and that is definitly it.
I guess this leads to the next question - Are they any good? Do they
just
cruse around or can they cause problems?
Thanks very much for your help.

That's what I think it looks like, too. The color's a little more
greenish then the ones I've seen, but the shape and patterns are the
same.

Hi
Hopefully the photo is attached..
I have a sal****er marine tank that has been going since February
this
year.
A few months ago I spotted a 8cm long thorny looking worm (if
that's
the
best thing to call it). It only seemed to appear at night time.
Today
I
spotted the worm on the pipe leading to the filter 'grazing' on
some
algae.
It's head end (which is down the bottom on the picture) seems to
made
up
of
about 10 little feathery looking suction pads (that's the only way
I
can
think of describing it). It is now approx 20cm long and varies
from
1.5 -
2.5cm think.
What on earth is it??
Please excuse the dirty glass (dried salt) but the photo is from
the
back
of
the tank.
Thanks..
