At work I have 1000s of GF, but I've never owned one myself. Some
can be quite endearing. They aren't an exception to the general rule
that bigger = more personality, and with their longevity, 15-20 (GF)
to 75 years (Koi), they have lots of time to grow on you ;~) .

and I was worried about getting a russian tortoise, max life 125 years...
I'll put in my will that whoever happens to be living at the time, inherits
our beloved pet, Molly Sims... the russian tortoise... If that day comes, we
could put a clause that nobody gets any money unless they house, care for,
and keep the tortoise until the ripe age of 125 or death by natural
causes... the look on their faces would be somewhat priceless...
