Hmmm... I keep other loach species, so I keep my tank close to 80F and
my kuhlis seem to do well. A few of them were gravid a while ago, so
they're either happy enough to breed or trying to sustain the species by
breeding...

in the tank. you could take 2 pots. Fill one with sand and bury it in
the gravel. Take the other and turn it upside down over the first (cave
shelter and sand to burrow in). Maybe drill a little hole in the side.
