I agree with kclmymy, despite most literature with disagrees I believe
the zebras don't get as large as the Yoyos. Yoyos also vary a lot in
their ability/interest in eating snails, so ymmv. The zebras are also
reputably more carnivorous (so would be more enthusiastic snailers

).

IMO, go with 4 - 5 Zebra, they stay small and do not dig as heavily
into
gravel as Yoyo.
My 4 Zebra play well with other but the largest of the Yoyo (5") are
kind of
nippy.

I returned from 2 weeks out of town to find what looks to be at least
100
snails in my tank and I've read all the postings about snails and
loaches.
My tank is 29 gal high with small to med size gravel and has the
following:
lots of plants, 2 guppies, 4 platies, 1 marbled hatchet, 6 danios (3
zebra/3long-fins), and 5 peppered corys.
Everything is fine in the tank except for all the snails so I thought
I'd
get some loaches to control them. I'm concerned about the substrate
and
any
conflict between the corys and the loaches. I thought I'd try for 3
zebra
or
yoyo loaches. Anyone have any thoughts on this before I add them to
the
tank? TIA
