fix
this??/ Any advice would be appreciated.
The smell is probably hydrogen sulfide which is typically produced by
anerobic bacteria. Often it is a problem with old dirty substrates. I
think the only fix is to remove the fish from the tank, and then
remove or at least stir up the substrate.
Hydrogen sulfide is toxic is large concentrations. It takes the place
of oxygen in the blood. Hydrogen sulfide is driven off by
aration. Increas the surface movement until you find and fix the
source.
