Default Suitable fish for a 160litre

and what about soccofolis and the albino soccofolis, they are a tad pushy,
but have never had one injure another...

I'd stay away from harlequins...I think the like lower PH..and most
peacocks (Aulonocara) get big enough to eat harlequins without much of a
problem. You might want to look into Iodotropheus Sperengue (Rusties) or
Pseudotropheus Salosoui...both are rather peaceful as mbuna go.

Ive got a 160 litre tank that i want to convert from its current state
as a planted tropical tank to a Malawi Cichlid tank (cos im fed up
with maintaining plants!!). My water is 12.5 kh and ph about 8.4, so
perfect for these fish.

What i would like to get is some input on the fish i would like,
bearing in mind that the tank isnt the biggest.

Firstly, i would like a trio of yellow labs (Labidochromis caraelus),
and am trying to decide on tankmates for these.

I thought maybe a trio of Aulonocara Steveni would be nice to go with
them and maybe a trio of Copadichromis Borleyi.

Would this be too many fish for the 160 litre (filtered by an Eheim
2213). Id also like to keep a school of 'dither fish', maybe
harlequins, of which i currently have 5 and maybe a bristlenose.

Thanks for any advice

Mark
