I'd stay away from harlequins...I think the like lower PH..and most
peacocks (Aulonocara) get big enough to eat harlequins without much of a
problem. You might want to look into Iodotropheus Sperengue (Rusties) or
Pseudotropheus Salosoui...both are rather peaceful as mbuna go.
