Buy an Aquaclear 300.. I realize Penn Plax is a slightly cheaper company
and I have used some of thier stuff, but in MHO, I like using the AC's for
thier realiability, ease of cleaning, and the ability to create your own
media filter bags for very cheap... I am currently running 2 AC 300's and a
402 PH on my over stocked Koi, GF and Oscar combined tank.. I have around 80
inches of fish in this 55 US G tank. I beleive in going over kill on my
filtration... I believe I have enough filtration for just over 200US G's on
this tank. Water is crystal clear and ammonia and nitrite levels are
zeroed...
