Chromidiotilapia Guentheri: Need Info Please!
that sounds right so far, according to Baensch, the male is slightly larger
up to 8" ...since it is riverine it wants softer water ph 7 dh 10.
"the fish have a pronounced pecking order in a tank"
they are burrowers, monogamous, they form permanent pairs.
this fish will eat just about anything ("suprisingly greedy") and is an
omnivore.
finally, most importantly I guess.
"They need a tank with a fine sandy bottom and hiding places amoung roots
and rocks. Plants should be placed in pots and protected. The fish should
be kept in a speciment tank."

Hi Guys,
I've been trying to find info on this fish on the net, and thus far have
been largely unsuccessful. I can't seem to find anyone who has more then
just basic location and nomanclature type info. Does anyone out there have
any experience w/ this fish and or any info on it? So far I've been told
its
a paternal mouth brooder from West Africa, possibly Nigeria or Sierra
Leone.
Thanx
