I have a breeding pair of kribs in a 37 High US Gallons tank. I set up
the tank with seachem sand, they have a breeding cave that looks like a
rock, They have the tank full of live plants. A Moonlight and CP
Lights.
I feed them Frozen but thawed BS, bloodworms they have a HBH Meatlovers
Flake.

I have read about them from books, the web. the first eggs laid one fry
escaped to the top of the tank, they ate the rest, and I knew this
might
happen and happen more than once, the Fry is in my fry tank with the
never ending guppy fry and molly fry.

Yesterday, the female shot out of the cave and lounged at the surface,
one side of her face was blood red, the other side looked like tuffs of
fungus from apparent injuries, and her eye seems to be very damaged. I
don't know if she will make it, but she is in a hospital tank being
treated. If she does, I don't want to put her back in that situtation.
I
have a single Ram and some clown loachs in my main tank that I will put
her into, My question is .... what to do with him, have him alone in
this tank? He shredded my guppies, attacked and kiiled one cory and a
clown pleco, they all had to be moved out. And for future Cichlids,
what
is you opinion for a 37 high tank that I have? I try and have all my
tanks closed systems, no new fish until all orginal fish have passed
on.
so I don't buy fish very often. I ask this question becuase maybe the
tank was not a good enviorment for the kribs.

I don't think the tank will be as much of a factor as you might think.
Kribs occupy the lower levels, so in a tall tank, they would have a
smaller surface area (comparatively). I don't see how this would have
that much influence one way or another on aggression, with only a single
pair. Individual disposition is probably more of a factor. You might
want to lose that particular male (donate to LFS ?). I'd also look for
any sharp materials which could help explain the extent of the damage on
the female Krib.
