and before long he will be wondering what to do with them. Our local LFS
will take them but give nothing in return as they sell so slow but they
are
IMO a neat cichlid, excellent parents and will bite the hell out of your
hands if you stick them in there while they have fry.

As cruel as some people think, they can be an excellent source for feeder
fish for other Cich's.. I only have a female Convict.. She has been used
for
a target fish in my Malawi tank... Sounds mean, but she is by far tougher
than the rest of my Cic's..

lots of people use them for feeders along with Kribs. They spawn so often
with large broods that they make for perfect feeders.
