Default Lonely Geophagus Jurupari?

I know some cichlids don't mind being the odd man out while some prefer the
company of their own species. Which category do Geo's fit into? I used to
have 2 but one died a while back. The remaining fish seems content to move
all my gravel around all by his (her?) lonesome. Should I get another one?

And if it is better to have more, are they picky about whether they're male
or female? 'Cause honestly, if they don't have a sign saying 'I'm a boy' I
have no idea.. And from what I've read, Geos are hard to sex anyway.
::sigh::

"Yeah.. it was in Buffy's underwear drawer. She has nice things."
"Show me."
"Well, I didnt take 'em but there were thongs and regular underpants..."
