Female Angel and parasites
||| In my case, I want algae... in some places... it's aesthetically
||| pleasing in some ways.. For your aquarium, if you find that you
||| dont' want to see it, scrape your glass and it's gone... if it's
||| everywhere, that's a whole different story...
|||
||
||
|| My concerns - and the post seems to have gotten away from what I was
|| more concerned about - were more about the parasites and fin
|| problems. The algae is an annoyance. There was nothing pleasing
|| about not being able to see into my 25 hex due to algae on every
|| pane.
||
|| I was more interested to hear what kind of treatment I could use, or
|| how long it will take, for the angel's fins to grow back properly.
|| As I've said, the male has been separated from the female to give
|| her a chance to heal. I"ve even put in a couple small fish for her
|| to have as tank mates - also so she can chase them around a bit if
|| she feels the need. They are quick and unbothered by her.
||
|| As far as the algae goes, I do scrape. When I do, the water gets so
|| cloudy from the floating green algae, that it has to irritate her.
|| The smaller fish do like it, but there is too much.
||
|| Trai
For the most part, if you've got floating green algae aka, green water, it's
an algae bloom from either being fed too much or something in the tank is
out of balance... too much of something and not enough of others....
that, alone, will stress enough fish that it could cause a problem... but
since I can't make heads or tails of your post, I'll bow out and let a
professional help you...
