Thanks! I was just lucky to have been unemployed at the time (if you
could ever consider that lucky), so I had lots of time to research &
experiment with different paints, adhesives and ways to get the final
look I wanted. It's still in use, underwater with fish, and well
seasoned under a fine layer of bio-slime and algae so it blends in with
the natural rocks scattered around with it.
If I had the time, I'd buy one of these new rimless tanks from Hagen and
build a fully 3-D structure to slide in vertically. It would be right to
the waterline, complete with caves, arches, tiers, nooks for
ferns/anubius, pockets to hold substrate for plants, and notches to slide
natural driftwood arches into place. I'm saving that project for when I
retire
