die and I wasn't sad, I was relieved and thinking about being one step
closer to draining the tank.

At this point, even if I will have to take a loss, I know I'll be
happier with a smaller tank. I know I'll enjoy a smaller tank 100
times more. To each his own :-) If a tank becomes a pain in the butt
and you hate it, it doesn't matter how stable it is (and I haven't
cleaned it in a year and stuff is still kicking so I'm assuming it's
pretty stable :-). I'd rather have to monitor it everyday and it be
pleasant than to never deal with it and it have my hatred.

It's just a big monster and I've decided it has to go.

I hope you keep the 75-gall tank, unless you desperately the space. It
is much more stable than small tanks, and as you realise, you will
only receive peanuts for the equipment. Invest in new bulbs M.O. as
the cheapest alternative.
