My girlfriend who works in a hospital and does some thyroid tests recommends
talking in further detail to your Doctor. The thyroid output is a hormone.
The thyroid will absorb and process iodine which is why they inject
radioactive iodine to check a thyroid in some tests. Iodine does not
directly effect the output of hormone from the thyroid. Not enough thyroid
and you get goiter. Too much iodine and you get iodine poisioning. Best
