Default Ranchu hanging out in the corner of the tank

I have three very active goldfish (two Orandas and one Ranchu), but the

corner. Is there anything wrong or do some fish prefer to be by themselves?

I have two veiltails that are in a tank together. They used to be more
active when there were two commons in the tank with them, but we moved
the commons to their own tank for space and aggressiveness reasons
(the commons were pushing the veiltails around, especially after being
fed - not WHILE being fed, after being fed). Now the Veiltails have a
spot behind a hornwort plant that they like to sit in. The small one
ventures out a little more often, but about 50% of their day is spent
swimming around pretty slowly.

Before anyone asks, my water parameters are fine. Zero
ammonia/nitrites, ~20ppm nitrites, and weekly water changes and plants
seem to be dropping that pretty steadily.
