its probably a dead issue but it just occured to me to buy suction
cups for the air tubes that come from the air pump.
now I can actually use any airstone of any design becuase whats acually
kept down is the air tube it self I have an illustration of this in the
first cuple of
images on my site. http://alkadmzu.com/check_out_the_animals.htm
The air stone you have - what make/brand is it? Is it an Aqua-Air (which is
branded by Interpet over here in the UK). Just wondered, as I am looking to
purchase one soon and was wondering how people normally attach or hang air
stones in the tank because most don't come with anything - where as that one
has the suction cap.

unfortunately I cant remember
what the name brand of the airstones
where. the shorter airstone comes in apack
of about six and come with four little coupler
adapters, brown in color, either end fits inside the airstone
and the air tube. the pack costs and average of 3 us dollars.
try petsmart.com
the longer airstone comes in several lenths ranging
from 2" to 8". the one I have is 4". they come with
the equivalent of the little brown adapter permanently
installed and also come with their own suction cup.
I preffer the the first one I mentioned. they'er
more flexible once you get the suction cups that hold down
the air tube.
I'll take a trip to the local petstore and check for the name
of the stuff on sunday and let you know.
