Dont use a filter. Do 50% water changes daily.
Get a lettuce leaf and put it in the window with tank
water (and sealed) for two days - the water will go green,
feed this water sparingly. You could also raise some baby brine shrimp,
fry love this. Feed sparingly but often (3 times a day).
Whilst they are clinging to the sides no need to feed.
Most important factor is feeding and keeping water very very clean.
