If you'll clip a piece of nori on the glass, folded up a half dozen times to make it
very small and "less scary", I bet you'll start to see results.

I had to take care of a reef tank for a club member while he was out of town for a
week. He's rabbit fish, a herbivore, had no interest in nori at all until I did this.
I stopped by a little early when the lights weren't on, and clipped in a piece and
left. I came back about 6 or 8 hours later to turn off his RO/DI unit, and the rabbit
fish was tearing away at the stuff.

The best part about that stuff is you can put it in your tank early in the day, and it
will be consumed as needed all day long. As the fish tear into it (literally), bits
float away and other fish eat it that might normally not.

It really is beautiful woodwork, and I'm still choking on the price, even at 50%. grin

I feed the tang when I think of it. I tried nori when he (she?) was in the Q tank,
but he had no interest then. I haven't attempted the nori in the reef yet. Usually I
put in a pinch of spirulina when I get home from work at about 6 ish, and then feed
more spirulina mixed with brine shrimp at 10 or 10:30. I see him nibbling on the
algae occasionally during the evening. Lights cycle off gradually at 11:00 PM, with
the actinics going off at midnight.

The stand was built by a guy I know from work. He is one of the locksmiths there,
but in his spare time he's a cabinet maker. He makes some really beautiful stuff.
His first proposal for my cabinets was about $3700. When I pretty much choked on the
price, he reworked the design, and came down to about half that. I can only imagine
the detail work that would have been on them if he'd made his original design.
Any-who, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
