but if you really want cheap, you can buy a mix that has all but the basic of salts, and
you can mix it, using your own cheaper source of salt itll still set you back $60 but
instead of 200g its something like 2000

After reading the post on cheap sea salt I started wondering about using
a fresh water salt called Doc Wellfish's aquarium salt. It is cheap and
made from evaporated sea water. I think I pay a buck for 16oz. I use
it all the time in my fresh water tanks but I am not sure how much would
be needed or if it would be cheaper in the long run than instant ocean.
Any one have any thoughts????
