Carole,
With scales knocked off and having most of the slime coat removed by
flopping around, the fish is going to be very susceptible to ulcers. Get
some KoiZyme and treat the pond. Keep a close eye on the fish and check
back if you see any sores or other distress coming on.

Has anyone ever had any of their fish jump out of the pond? When I came
home
from work today my son told me my big koi had jumped out of the pond. He
was
flipping around on the patio, thank goodness my son was home and got him
back
in right away. Mind you my pond is half above ground so he had to jump up
&
over the stone wall. He seems to be ok, he's swimming around. He lost a
few
scales, is there anything I can do to make sure he's OK?I would hate to
loose
him he's about 15ins long and bright irridescent orange & black.
