Default Pasta ...

Theo,

Just to let you know -- I, for one, would never ridicule anyone who:

Makes orange juice, from scratch, to feed fish
Uses "Catweasel" as a pet name (fish or otherwise)
Looks for said pet for 3 hours, while
Reverse-engineering your deck
Uses the most excellent term "right frenzy"

Nope, no ridicule from me!

And, wow, dude, you have a sturgeon! (I can recall seeing a fishing show
years ago, when 2 or 3 guys waded into the river to "land" and 8-foot
sturgeon, which was promptly released; however, I think it must have been
another type of sturgeon, as these fish were in rivers in the US.)

Yes, wrap it tightly and you can keep it in the refrigerator.

That's what I did, ta.

I have ONE that refuses it. Couldn't be less interested. He waits
for the floating stuff he's used to, thank you very much. Or it may be

the
competition: I toss in a piece of the food and everyone rushes in for

it.
Maybe this one feels too dignified to "fight" for his food?

Being one that is always interested in "individual" behaviour, I can

relate.
Fish, cats, dogs, they all have their personal traits. It's in fact the
beauty of looking at these critters to see how much they all differ.

"Fish"
eh... nope, they all have their personal "life".

Sorry about Catweasel: are you sure he isn't just hiding?

At the risk of forever being ridiculed... guess who just turned up tonight

Yup, Catweasel.

Don't ask me where he/she was hiding, and DON'T think I didn't look (I
reverse engineered part of the deck to see if I could find him somewhere,
perhaps stuck etc...) I looked for 3 hours, gave my cats a 1st degree,
ruffled plants (maybe he jumped etc) and after 4 feeds with him missing, I
mailed my wife: "he's gone".

Tonight at 23:00 PM he turned up again

I am now thinking that 24°C may be just too much for him. A spray bar &
trickle tower (and airstones) should put in enough oxygen (they are quite
critical when it comes to O2), but I know they don't like "hot" water.

The
water has gone up 1°C this week (which is not much, given the continuous
heat of 35°C plus), but maybe it's enough to make him think "OK, me hide"
(well, he's Russian LOL).

I was very glad to see him again.
