Damaged Bubble Coral?
Yes, new bulbs tend to cause a brief algae bloom.

Hi all,
Some months ago, I posted here that all of my corals were not opening up
properly.
All the parameters were WNL, except that I did not consider the age of
my 20K MH bulb into factor.
I replaced the bulb, and the next day, the corals were at there glory
again. All except the bubble coral.
Several months have passed, and the bubble does open up, but not the way
it used to.
Water parameters are all wnl, except phos, which is usually a bit high;
but this is chronic.
Also, the replacement bulb was a 10 K (true 10 K whatever that means,)
and I've experienced a green algae bloom. Is this an expected phenomenon?
TIA for the help.
Regards,
Richard
