Default gallons per fish

It is not for Koi ponds, well most Koi ponds, because the crap will clog
very fast.

Sounds like this would last about two weeks in a pond

It's a filter that holds sand. A pump pumps water up and through the

sand
and back into the tank. When you look at the clear filter container

you'll
see a container full of swirling sand. My fluidizer is about 3 inches X

14
inches X 2 inches. What it does is provide 234 square feet of space for
bacteria to grow on. This extra space for bacteria allows more bacteria

to
be present and convert ammonia/nitrite/nitrate into nitrate.

What is a fluidizer?

In aquariums it's 1 inch of fish per gallon of water. If you use a
fluidizer
it goes up to 12 inches of fish per gallon.

I've seen the ratio of 100 gallons per Koi.

We;; Koi come in many sizes. Is this for a six inch or 16" fish.

Currently I have about six Fantails three 4" comets and 3 4-6" koi

in
a
1200
gallon pond.

I want to find a new home for the comets and get a couple of

larger
koi
(6-8")

any advise??
