My lotus had jumped the pot a couple years ago.....last year I pulled out
several tubers that were um........HUGE!!!! 2-3 feet long and ummmm verrrry
interesting.....my 20 something son saw me pull one out and said "what the heck
is that?" I had several replies....... At any rate, nothing I did to that
lotus damaged it in any way.....it just sent out more "appendages". Finally
this year we emptied the pond....and the two little tubers I repotted per
Nedra's instructions...
