July 19 till 2 8. Southwest airline. Ontario California, one stop in
Vegas, then Baltimore.
Can you recommend an area to stay at near Baltimore and DC if my visit
will
include touring DC, Baltimore waterfront, Southeast Virginia, etc? I
checked on line, but I've forgotten the different areas! What do you
recommend if I'm coming with my wifey, 3 daughters ages 10 yrs, 8 yrs, and
9
months?

I think if I were traveling to the area, I'd stay in Bal'more before I'd
stay in DC. I think the inner harbor area is a bit more family friendly then
DC at night. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, etc. You can rent
paddle boats or take a tour of the harbor on a larger boat. The Bal'more zoo
is awesome, as is the train museum (although I don't think it has fully
recovered from this past winter's damage), and the aquarium. All worth the
cash.
DC is just a short drive or train ride away so it is very accessible. DC of
course hase a plethora of museums, monuments, etc. The zoo is large and
nice, but I think I like the Bal'more zoo better.
Annapolis is also a great place, but a bit further out. It has a lot of
character, and can be very romatic, but I am not sure how kid friendly/fun
it can be.
There are numerous hotels up and down the roads between the two cities, but
I think a family vacation, you'd prefer being in the city.
