Default Losing My Hermits

IME the SR hermits tend to not like living in a newly established tank.
they arent as "tough" as the blue legged when it comes to the changes as the
tank "breaks in".

and as Marc suggested they may be molts.

Anyone know of compatability issues with scarlet reef hermits and emerald
crabs.

I've lost about 3 or 4 S.R. Hermits in the last week and I am finding the
emerald crabs are always munching on the remains. I'm not saying the
emeralds are guilty simply because they were eating the "evidence" but I
cant figure out why they are dieing.

I also have some blue leg hermits which are much smaller and I dont appear
to be losing any of them. Do I need to feed these guys something?

My tests kits are not complete but I have the following readings...

Ammonia 0
No2 0
No3 5-10
pH 8.2
Calcium 420
dKH 7
salinity 1.023
temp 82-83

My tank is a 75gal and has been up for a little over a month. I have yet

to
do my first water change even...

Any ideas?
