plants in my combo pack rotted. Some were rotted in the basket when I
pulled them out to plant and others never grew and rotted. I'll stick
with the $4.88 singles though, they are a great deal.

Sam, WalMart will refund your money on anything that dies, or at least they
do here - as long as you keep the receipt. Almost all my other pond plants
were bought at Lowe's about 6 years ago. Water plants are like weeds and
multiply like crazy. Others were trades with other ponders. I recently
traded water iris for new parrots feather. :-) I couldn't believe a local
pond store asking something like $12 for a small clump of the stuff.

The pond plants Lowe's carries now aren't worth the packaging they're
displayed in. Most were already dead or rotting when they put them on the
sales table.
