Goldfish resting on the bottom of the tank (really annoying), PLEASE HELP!

..clear water doesnt mean anything. nitrATE levels should be kept 20 ppm or less.
this is the reading used to determine how often and how much water needs to be
changed.
leave the algae alone on the back and sides of the tank. if it is growing on the
front so it needs to be scraped off more than every other water change your wastes
are too high.
What do I do with the algae on the plants itself because I have one of
the plants half overrun with algae? Should I scrape the algae off or
leave it alone or should I throw the plant away?
Another problem is the positioning of my tank. The tank is in a corner
that faces a south facing window + the window is about 20 feet away. I
live in the northern hemisphere so the sunlight will be slightly
towards the south. I have nowhere else in my house to put it. Is this
alrite or what should I do? Due to this, do I get more plants to
compete with algae or what should I do? I currently have 3 plants in
my 70 litre tank. lights r on 8 hrs a day. Thanks Ingrid..
yes..... inactivity in otherwise active fish is a behavior pattern that indicates
something is wrong, the first thing goes wrong is water quality 98% of the time.
this leads to stress in the fish and the immune system goes down and the fish gets
overrun with parasites and then bacterial infection.
