Default Best pump for return

??? All of the MagDrive pumps I own (I have 3's driving my skimmers,
2 9's as return pumps, and a 5 for mixing and water transfer) are very
quiet, and none of the models I own have what I would call a flimsy
housing - they are very solid, and epoxy-filled.. The only drawback
that I can see is that they do seem to impart some heat to the water -
but being in Seattle, that is not really a bad thing

Are these the ones you are talking about??

Note that there may be several different brands of pumps that use a
magnetic impeller drive - maybe you are confusing it with some other
brand??

Just puzzled.

The T3's put out allot of heat and I KNOW you'll end up needing a chiller.
The Quiet ones are not Quiet and overheat way to easy (I am referring to the
new and old models). I'd never do a mag drive..noisy, and some of the
flimsiest housing I've ever seen, however they are cheap..but you get what
you pay for. I personally would try an Eheim hobby pump maybe the 1261 or
1262. Unfortunately the Eheim pumps are not cheap...mine set me back a few
hundred bucks. Just my 2 cents.
