I have removed some pond plants and put them in a kiddie pool, about 70
gals. I added 4 tiny rosey reds and today 2 feeder comets. 10 days into

I already have a fair amount of skeeters trying to mature. Where do I go
from here?

# Huh? I have 4 to 6 rosy reds per 150 gallon kiddy pool and not a
mosquito to be seen. Some have an odd goldfish as well. I feed them
lightly once a day. They really love those mosquito larvae.

Will the fish eat them or do they need to catch them earlier.
Fish level? No algae yet - do I feed the fish or will that discourage them
from finding the skeeters.

# Feed them. They'll still eat the mosquito larvae. Have you checked the
ammonia level in these pools?

I hope to soon sink the pool but I am trying to
steer away from much of a pump/filter system. If necessary I have a tiny
200 gph fountain pump which I could probably adapt to a bucket of rocks

bio
filter but I would prefer not to just because I would have to run a big
extension cord to it. I have seen the dunks, but I was trying to put

plants
and not money into the pool. Plan B could be 'It was a bad idea.' but I
know some of you have similar set up. Just not sure how much effort is
involved.

# You should not need dunks.
